You deserve someone to be there for you through it all.

  • My practice centers around companionship, compassion, and radical acceptance. I’ll offer advice when it’s requested but I am primarily there to make sure you feel safe, supported, and deeply held through your experience.

I also only accept one client at a time (or about 10 clients per year.) This means I have a lighter workload that allows me to be more present during my clients’ pregnancies and postpartum periods. I also have no overlap in my on-call period (your 37th week through your delivery) so each client has my dedicated focus!

  • I believe there is no right way to birth (or parent for that matter!) Each person’s journey is unique and I will always encourage you to follow your intuition and make the decisions that feel right for you and your family.

I believe that pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenting will very often require surrendering. I’ll be there to comfort you if things don’t go to plan or you have to make difficult decisions.

I believe that all forms of birthing can be beautiful. The medical tools available for labor and birth are wonderful when desired or needed.

  • I have worked with families from many backgrounds with many different needs and plans for their births. I work with births at any location (home, center, or hospital birth.) I work with folks planning no/low-intervention births as well as those planning for intervention.

I have experience working with solo parents, queer parents, and trans parents. I work with parents who have history of loss. I work well with those experiencing anxiety and depression, or who have a past history of trauma. I have worked with high-risk pregnancies (primarily hypertension + preeclampsia), NICU families, and people experiencing postpartum complications.

I am particularly passionate about supporting fat birthing people navigating the medical system.

Labor and Delivery

  • We’ll text/call/facetime in the early parts of your labor (which can be anywhere from a few hours to many days) and I’ll join you once requested. We’ll work together to identify how I can best support you, but this typically looks like some combo of movement, breathing, body work, positioning, and giving you lots and lots of care. I’ll help you identify when it might be time to head to your birthing space (unless you’re already there!) I’ll stay with you through your labor and leave once you are settled after your delivery.

  • Prior to your induction we will review common induction methods and options. We can call/facetime at the start of your induction (the cervical ripening phase, which is typically best to rest through) and I will join you once requested. I’ll support you as you labor and stay with you through your birth until you are settled after your delivery.

  • Cesareans can become the best option at the end of your pregnancy for many reasons. If this happens, I can arrive with you at the hospital and answer any questions that may arise as you prepare. If I am allowed, I will be with you in the operating room and will provide emotional and informational support through your belly birth. I will stay with you after and help initiate baby bonding and ensure you are set up well for the rest of your stay. For scheduled C-section clients, I offer an additional postpartum visit.

Postpartum

I will visit you in the weeks following your birth to help process your birthing experience, answer questions about lactation and newborn care, and provide some support (meal, household, body— whatever you are needing!)

For parents who are nursing/lactating I also have items available to borrow or use free of cost including: colostrum collection syringes, Boppy breastfeeding pillow, baby scale (for weighted feeds), Spectra S1 Pump, and more.

You can also add postpartum shifts with me as needed, and as my availability allows. I charge $50 per hour for daytime postpartum visits, and $55 per hour for overnight visits.
